Time Attack Italia is gearing up for an exhilarating 2025 season, promising high-octane competition and intense battles against the clock. Now in its 13th edition, this ACI Sport-licensed championship, organized by Andrea Scorrano’s GF2A Motorsport SSD, continues to push the boundaries with innovative updates and a calendar featuring some of the most iconic circuits.

Following a record-breaking season, many competitors have already secured their spots for the upcoming year, setting the stage for an incredible lineup. With demand at an all-time high, championship registration is now open, while a limited number of wild-card entries will be available for individual events. The 2025 Time Attack Italia season promises an extraordinary calendar featuring six events at some of the most prestigious and iconic racetracks. This year, the action-packed journey will kick off at the legendary Mugello Circuit on the 5th and 6th of April, where competitors will tackle the Tuscan track’s renowned ups and downs in the season opener.

The second round will bring the excitement to the historic Autodromo Nazionale di Monza on the 3rd and 4th of May, a temple of speed that never fails to thrill fans and drivers alike. In June, the championship will head beyond Italy’s borders to the breathtaking Red Bull Ring in Austria. Set in the stunning Styrian countryside, the 6th and 7th of June will witness competitors battling it out on this world-class circuit.

After the summer break, the engines will roar back to life at the Vallelunga Circuit on the 13th and 14th of September. Located just outside Rome, this technical track will push drivers to their limits. The season will then move to the iconic Imola Circuit (TBC) on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of October, a venue steeped in motorsport history, offering a challenging layout for competitors.

The grand finale will take place at the Misano World Circuit on the 31st of October and 1st of November. With its unique blend of fast straights and tight corners, the circuit will be the ultimate battleground to decide the 2025 Time Attack Italia champions.

 

This calendar not only showcases a mix of technical and high-speed tracks but also sets the stage for a thrilling season-long battle to crown the fastest competitors across all classes.

Race Format and Championship Structure

Each round of the championship follows a well-structured format designed to maximize competition and excitement:

Free Practice Session: Drivers have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the track and refine their setups.

Qualifying Session: A timed session to establish the order and prepare for the competitive rounds.

Round 1: The first official timed session where drivers push to set their fastest lap.

Round 2: The second official timed session, offering another chance to improve lap times.

 

The best lap time achieved in either Round 1 or Round 2 will count toward the final classification for that event.

The championship scoring system rewards performance both within individual classes and in the overall standings. Here’s how points are awarded at each round:

2nd Place: 40 points

3rd Place: 30 points

4th Place: 20 points

5th Place: 10 points

From 6th place onward: 1 point

1st Place: 100 points

2nd Place: 90 points

3rd Place: 80 points

4th Place: 70 points

5th Place: 60 points

6th Place: 50 points

7th Place: 40 points

8th Place: 30 points

9th Place: 20 points

10th Place: 10 points

From 11th place onward: 1 point

 

Discard Rule

The worst result achieved in a round where the competitor is regularly registered (with the entry fee paid) will be discarded, earning 0 points for that round.

If a competitor is absent from a round where they are regularly registered, that round will automatically be considered as the discarded result.

 

This scoring system ensures a fair and balanced championship while allowing participants some flexibility over the course of the season.

Eligible Vehicles

The Time Attack Italia championship is open to a wide range of vehicles, with specific classes designed to cater to both road cars and race cars.

Road Car Classes: Dedicated to street-legal vehicles, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to compete with their high-performance cars in a safe and controlled environment.

Race Car Classes: Tailored for purpose-built racing machines, ensuring that professional drivers and teams can push their vehicles to the limit in a highly competitive setting.

This structure allows for fair competition while providing an exciting platform for all levels of drivers, from passionate amateurs to seasoned professionals.

I have never driven on a circuit but would like to participate in a competitive event. How can I do this?

Super Lap Driving Academy with a short coaching course, before and during the race accompanies all those who want to take up this sport with an amateur spirit, preparing them to compete with the right preparation.

I have a supercar but I don’t want to use it on the circuit, is there a possibility to rent it?

Yes, Super Lap Driving Academy has a stable of road-going Porsches that it makes available for track days and races.

I have a street car but I am not sure if it is technically suitable for track use. How can I verify this?

Super Lap Driving Academy also has a team of experienced technicians who can assess and prepare the car for safe and high-performance track use. During the race, technicians are present in the pit to constantly monitor the car’s performance and intervene if necessary.

How can I transport the car to the race track?

The Super Lap team is equipped to transport cars to all championship events.
